Single Trip Plan

Protect against the cost of unexpected medical emergencies for the duration of your trip.

Multi-Trip Plan

Protect against the cost of unexpected medical emergencies for multiple individual trips (up to 4, 8, 15 or 30 days each) throughout the year. Your Multi-Trip Annual Plan starts each time you leave Canada. If you stay longer than the days included in the plan, a top-up can be purchased.

  • Emergency medical treatment expenses including ambulance, hospital stays, prescription medication and physician's fees
  • Emergency dental expenses for up to policy limit (Accidental blow to the face, pain, etc.)
  • Medical repatriation expenses for up to the cost of a one-way economy airfare to your Canadian province or territory of residence

  • Family transportation of return economy fare of an immediate family member or friend to attend your bedside
  • Escort and return expenses for a one-way economy airfare for insured children or grandchildren

  • Meals and accommodation expenses up to $3,500 ($350 per day), if your return is delayed more than 10 days beyond the return date due to hospitalization/ confinement of more than 72 consecutive hours

Trip Cancellation and Interruption

Up to the full cost of your prepaid travel arrangements if an unforeseen event causes your trip to be cancelled, interrupted or delayed. Includes:

  • Cancellation, interruption, and delay benefits
  • Meals and accommodation
  • Return of remains
  • Undelivered travel services due to default of a travel supplier and acts of terrorism

Travel Accident

Death or dismemberment as a result of an injury incurred during your trip. Includes:

  • Flight accident, common carrier accident, and 24-hour accident for up to the amount you insure for loss of life
  • Dismemberment of two limbs or loss of sight in both eyes or up to 50% of the amount you insure for dismemberment of one limb or loss of sight in one eye

Baggage Insurance

Loss, damage or delay to your baggage and personal effects, you own and/or use during your trip, due to theft, burglary, fire or transportation hazards. Includes:

  • A maximum of $50 for replacing a lost/stolen driver’s license, birth certificate or travel visa ($200 for replacement of a passport)
  • A maximum of $500 for commercial rental of golf clubs or ski equipment or for the purchase of reasonable golf or ski accessories if your equipment is delayed for more than 10 hours
  • A maximum of $500 to purchase essential necessities in the event your checked baggage is delayed for more than 10 hours
