The major responsibilities of the CAA North & East Ontario’s Board of Directors include acting as Members in trust
to ensure the protection of Member equity, determining the Club’s mission, supporting management and insuring ensuring
effective organizational planning.
The Board also assists with managing resources effectively, monitoring the delivery of programs and services and enhancing the organization's public image, serving as a court of appeal, and assessing its performance.

A resident of Ottawa, Peter has served on the Board of Directors since 2007. He has held the role of Treasurer from 2013 to 2015 before assuming the role of Vice Chair from 2016 to 2018 and has recently been appointed Chair of the Board.
As Owner and President of McIntosh Trading Inc., an International multichannel importer, exporter, wholesaler, and retailer in the gift and tableware industry, Peter’s expertise and responsibilities include product development, marketing, sales, human resources, operations, and finance.
Peter was honoured with a 40 under 40 award, was named as one of the Socially Responsible Retailers of the Year and was a silver award winner at the Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards.
He studied economics, brand marketing and business management and in 1994 received an Honors Business Administration Degree from the Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.
A resident of North Bay, Vicky has been a member of the Board since 2013, a CAA member since 1996. She has held the role of Treasurer from 2016 to 2018 and was most recently appointed to the position of the Vice Chair of the Board.
Vicky has extensive executive experience at the post-secondary education level having served as President and Vice Chancellor of Nipissing University and prior to that as Vice President of Finance and Administration. In 2000, she was selected as the Lieutenant Governor-in-Council as a member of the Board of Governors of Nipissing University.
Other past experiences include Executive Vice President, Strategic Business Development for Momentum Healthware Inc. and Vice President of Finance and Administration at Canadore College of Applied Arts and Technology.
Vicky was honoured with the Influential Women of Northern Ontario award in 1999. Her health software development company, Healthware Technologies Inc. also won the Northern Ontario Small Business of the Year award in 1996.
She received her Chartered Accounting Designation ( CPA, CA) in 1983 and has a Master of Business Administration from Laurentian University.
A resident of Thunder Bay, Robert has been a part of the Board of Directors since 2004. He served as Vice Chair of the Board from January 2013 to January 2016 and Chair of the Board from January 2016 to January 2018.
Robert is a businessman and Director of a commercial real estate development company in Thunder Bay and Director of several full service casual dining restaurants.
He is a graduate of Confederation College majoring in Labour Relations Law and Human Resources.
A resident of North Bay, Jack has served on the Board of Directors since 2001, most notably as Chair of the Board from January 2013 to January 2016.
Along with his work at CAA NEO, Jack has served on various boards, including Nipissing University, Capitol Centre, North Bay & District Chamber of Commerce, the North Bay Cancer Society, and the Kiwanis Club of North Bay.
Recently retired as a partner with BDO Canada LLP, Jack received his Bachelor of Mathematics degree in 1977 and has been a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario since 1978.
A resident of Ottawa, Richard has been a member of the Board since 2009.
He is the current owner and President of The Paradox Solutions Group Ltd., an organization that works to provide
management and technology consulting solutions to private sector companies and public sector organizations.
He is also the executive-in-residence for IoT and machine-to-machine systems at CATA.
Richard’s past experience includes nearly two decades at Nortel Networks Corporation in the positions of Technology Advisor, Senior Manager of wireless access systems, and Director of wireless systems and architecture. While at Nortel he was recognized with two awards for innovation. He also served as senior architect and director at Edgewater Computer Systems Inc., and manager for systems consulting at TechInsights Inc.
Richard received his Bachelor of Engineering Science from the University of Western Ontario in 1984 and his Master of Business Administration from the University of Ottawa in 2008. He also holds professional certification in risk management from Carleton University, which he attained in 2011.
A resident of Sudbury, Line has been a part of the Board since 2013. As an Executive Consultant in Human Resources and Labour Relations, Line has extensive experience in the mining and manufacturing industries.
Most recently, Line served as Director of Human Resources for North America and Europe for Vale, one of the largest
integrated mining operations in the world. Line has also worked as Human Resources Manager for GE Canada and
Manager of Labour Relations for DuPont and Invista Canada. Line is a Board Director for CAA’s Club Auto and a
volunteer Board Director for Wild at Heart, a wildlife refuge.
She has an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree from Lakehead University and received her Master of Industrial Relations from the University of Toronto.
A resident of Ottawa, Gerry has been a member of the Board since 2014. Gerry is past President and CEO of Colleges and Institutes Canada (formerly ACCC).
He also served as President of John Abbott College in Montreal and, prior to joining John Abbott College, was a Director
of English Educational Services for the Quebec Ministry of Education.
Gerry was a founding member and Chair of the World Federation of Colleges and Polytechnics, as well as the Chair of the Canadian College Presidents’ Network and it’s Presidents’ Academy.
Gerry holds a Master’s Degree from McGill University, an Honorary Doctorate Degree from the University of Atacama, Chile, and is a recipient of the Queen’s Golden Jubilee medal. He is presently active as a consultant at the national and international levels.
A resident of Ottawa, Bill is a member of the Law Society of Ontario, the Association of Intellectual Property Lawyers of America, the Licensing Executives Society and the Institute of Corporate Directors.
He has held various senior business executive roles with technology companies in the Ottawa region, with insurance companies and a large Canadian retail/wholesale/manufacturing company. Bill has also been a 4 time General Counsel and was in a private practice with 2 national law firms prior to that. He now provides general counsel services to small & medium sized companies and other organizations throughout Ontario and has diverse experience in corporate commercial law, technology law, employment law, health and insurance law, and in complex litigation management and alternative dispute resolution.
Bill has Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws degrees from Western University, has served on several Boards, and continues to maintain an active role in charitable organizations.
A resident of Ottawa, Shelley has spent more than 15 years in the Communications field and is presently Manager of Corporate & Digital Communications for the Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency.
With a degree in Political Science & Human Rights from St. Thomas University in New Brunswick, Shelley has spent much of her time giving back to the community, resulting in her recognition as “Citizen of the Year” by the Upper Ottawa Valley Chamber of Commerce.
Shelley is an active Board Director for the United Way Ottawa and has vast experience in assisting on the Boards of the Renfrew County United Way, Women in Nuclear Power, and YMCA of Durham.
A resident of Thunder Bay, Ontario, Sean is Co-owner of Maintair Aviation Services Limited and is the President of DECIPHR Aviation Consulting and the President for JSWaG Investments Limited, in Thunder Bay.
Sean is well-versed in the Aviation Industry and has been named a member of the “Top 20 under 40” in Thunder Bay (2016) by both the Young Professionals Network and Wings Magazine, and is also a recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee medal.
Sean is an active Director on the Boards for Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation, Staal Foundation Open and Wasaya Group Inc. He is the Chair of the YQT Airline Operators Committee (AOC) and is the Co-chair of the NextGen Cabinet for the Cardiovascular Surgery Campaign recently launched in Thunder Bay. He continues to serve as a member of the Save a Heart Ball event committee, among numerous other charitable organizations.
